Roosevelt Wa is known for its walleye and Bass fishing! Which I can say I have myself caught some nice ones in this area!

Lewis and Clark camped twice near Roosevelt. On the night of October 20, 1805, the Corps camped in the vicinity of today’s grain elevator. On the night of April 24, 1806, their camp was two miles below their campsite of October 20, 1805. Today this would be at the eastern edge of Roosevelt, west of the Grain Elevator, and nearly across from Arlington, Oregon.

Campground Description:  Roosevelt Park is owned and operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers and is located on the Columbia River in Roosevelt, Washington.  This small park offers a day use area as well as tent camping and RV camping.  RV camping is limited to parking on the asphalt parking lot near the lawn areas.  Pit toilets are available year round but the restroom facilities with flush toilets are only available during the warm months of the year.  In addition to tent camping and RV camping, Roosevelt Park offers world class fishing opportunities, a modern boat launch, and is a frequent stop for windsurfers.  Roosevelt Park is open year round.  Reservations are not available. Size of park suggests 8 tent camping sites and up to 10 RV camping sites.

  • Roosevelt Regional Landfill is a state-of-the-art operation. Each year, Roosevelt creates enough energy to power more than 20,000 homes by converting methane gas to electricity. Republic’s long-standing partnership with Klicktat County and the Klickitat County PUD is as important today as it was when Roosevelt was just a “sketch on the drawing board.
